Part 1 - Cyber Security Risk Management

In this intensive and interactive first part of the training week you will be introduced to the full range of cyber-security risks facing corporate business and other large organisations. Using practical examples you will be given a full understanding of how cyber crime is committed and the impact it can have. You will gain a practical understanding of the role you can play in identifying key vulnerabilities and gaps in business processes, and specifying the most appropriate control frameworks to reduce exposure.

Part 2 – Auditing and Securing Social Media and Cloud Computing Risks

In this intensive and interactive second part of the training week you will be introduced to the full range of social media and cloud security risks facing corporate business and other large organisations. Using practical examples you will be given a full understanding of how data theft and other offenses are or could potentially be committed and the impact they can have. You will gain a practical understanding of the role you can play in identifying key vulnerabilities and gaps in business processes, and specifying the most appropriate control frameworks to reduce exposure.

  • Understand how social media attacks are executed
  • Recognise the key categories of social media attack
  • Discover key strategies that can prevent or mitigate social media risks
  • Understand the risk and controls framework relevant for the use of Cloud services
  • Assess & assure the social media and Cloud security posture of your organisation 

Course Director: Mark Johnson
Mark is the former Head of Fraud Control at Cable & Wireless, where he designed one of the first automated fraud detection and management systems in the world and ran fraud system development programmes for Ericsson, Nortel and Alcatel.  Mark has been engaged in ICT security and crime control projects on every continent, some lasting several years.  He is a regular chair and speaker at key industry events on data analytics for crime intelligence and emerging cyber crime risks.

Methodology: The training week is extremely interactive with case studies and real life examples used throughout. Delegates will have the opportunity to network and share experiences with other professionals
